The 2010s was the decade of the Entrepreneur.
The 2020s will be the decade of the Investor.
“‘Later’ is not the way you will ship”

Great things begin with great questions
As well as reading ‘book’, books, along the way the following ‘guided journals’ have been hugely helpful:
I’ve used Seth’s ‘Ship-It Journal’, here, several times. It’s available as a free PDF here.
Josh Dholani recently put together the 'Urgency Journal’, here, and it’s fantastic motivation when you want to sprint.
And Shane Parrish’s Annual Review, here, is the best I’ve come across.
Sleeping well?
As some of you have experienced and many of you know, at every meal with 9others I ask, “What’s keeping you up at night?”.
It’s that question each attendee has to answer and over the last 13+ years I’ve heard thousands of founders share their answers.
In my book, ‘Find your 9others’, you can read some of the lessons I’ve learned and other stories ‘from the dinner table’. Each chapter is a question, for example, “Why am I doing this anyway?” and “How do I keep getting up again?”, and I asked myself another just the other day: Could I produce a guided journal or companion book that would help people ask better questions and get better answers?
I decided I could and I’m producing it now. You can get on the waitlist to get early access to the 9others Guided Journal here.
Sign up and it might just help you ask better questions.
And get better answers.

🎥 I was on Matt Zeigler’s terrific ‘Just Press Record’ show again. The episode was appropriately entitled, ‘Trust Your Gut, Build Your Tribe’ and you can watch us on YouTube here or listen on Spotify here.
💰 The VC Lab program has pretty much finished and I’m still here at the end of it…! Apparently 3,555 people applied to be in Cohort 16, then 350 were accepted at the beginning of the program and just a dozen made it to the end. If you want to hear more about it and what’s next just hit reply.
🎧 I’m meeting with Alon Michael later today. We ‘met’ over Twitter around investment discussions that involved William Green, what3words, Guy Spier, and the occasional fancy car chat. Alon is one of the most impressive hustlers I’ve come across (just check his output on X) — the 1guy is relentless, so I’m delighted he’ll spare some time for me when he’s passing through London on the way back from San Francisco to the Netherlands.
More from me?
If you like my writing you can get more by buying my book, ‘Find your 9others’. It’s on Amazon here.
