WOTY 2023: Ambition
When we had a catchup call last year Eric Partaker told me that if someone lacks motivation then they actually need to work on their idea of ambition. Being motivated to do great things comes from locking onto the right ambition.
And, especially in the first eight months of 2022, I really lacked motivation. I was looking for motivation everywhere but was really just pootling along not knowing what my ambition was. That was the problem.
For 2023 I want my ambition back so that’s why it’s my word of the year.
There are still one or two big decisions to make in Q1 of 2023 but I’m more excited and ambitious for 2023 and the rest of the 2020s than I’ve ever been.
