Above: Nobody Wants to Read Your Sh*t by Steven Pressfield

The 2010s was the decade of the Entrepreneur. The 2020s will be the decade of the Investor.

“The professional sheds all intellectual pretence. She doesn't rationalise or make excuses. She simply gets to work and stays at it till it's done”

Steven Pressfield

Up and to the right!

📰 At the beginning of the year I turned off all notifications for new subscribers to my Substack.

🫣 I do occasionally login and check the numbers though.

📈 This week I noticed that I’ve got over 1,000 subscribers.

Above: Jan 2024 → May 2024

From the above graph you can see that the numbers have grown pretty fast since the beginning of 2024 compared with 2023. I reckon the two things that have made this happen have been:

  1. I’ve been consistently posting my x/52 newsletters.

  2. Some terrific

    Substack
newsletter writers have recommended mine including
    Compounding Quality
    ,
    Danielle Newnham
    ,
    Cycling East
    ,
    Bogumil Baranowski
    and, err,
    9others
(I might have had something to do with that last one).

So I just wanted to say thank you, I’ll carry on doing my posts and I hope more Substacks will recommend this one.
