Have bag, will travel
Forgive me, Guy, but last week was the first time I’ve used the VALUEx rucksack since you gave it to me and all the others at your conference last month. I’ll sound like Joey in “The One with Joey’s Bag” but it really is terrific — it has all these pockets for stuff!
I used it because I was doing some work up in Newcastle and needed one that was a decent size (and had loads of pockets and stuff) so I could stay overnight. I caught the train from Stevenage on Wednesday afternoon, visited Paul Campbell and some MBAs at Newcastle University Business School (I’d spoken at an event Paul organised in London a couple of weeks before), caught up with Paul Sutherland of SkillsPlay whom I’m mentoring, and then joined the UKBAA & CreativeUK panel to give some views, pros, cons and stories about investing in startups.
I’ll share some notes about Newcastle below as well as a few other thoughts from my meetings last week with founders…
