I’ve had a spike in new subscribers and followers recently, so that and reading Daniel’s book, above, in the garden this weekend has prompted me to write down a better ‘pitch’ about what I’m up to — as much for me as the new folks reading this.
What do I do? Well…

I co-founded 9others in 2011.
“…with founders.”
A trusted network is something no entrepreneur should be without, and 9others is where founders can come along, share a challenge, and help each other out. What started as a simple meal for myself and nine others in 2011 has grown into 5,000+ founders attending hundreds of meals in 45+ cities around the world. In 2022 I wrote a book about it. And in 2025 started an online ‘deep work’ group called Founders Focus.

9others, and what I do around it, has allowed me to see the quiddity — the very essence — of people; month after month, year after year. And that's helped me uncover what makes the best founders tick — because of 9others I can see a side of founders that other investors can't so I back the best with my own money. 🍕 It was the MOI Global Q1 dinner, below, last week — just around the corner from 1A Burnsall Street, as it happened, so I had to go say hello.
