About me:
I am co-founder of 9others and an Angel Investor in some amazing startups.
Established in 2011, 9others has now grown to a network of over 5,000+ entrepreneurs in 45+ cities around the world. We meet over a meal and help each other solve the challenges that are keeping us up at night.
In 2023 I wrote ‘Find your 9others’ with my 9others co-founder, Katie Lewis. The book is a series of essays and lessons we’ve learned from hosting a meal with 9others in London every month since December 2011 and scaling 9others around the world.
I started getting ‘sweat equity’ from Nick Wheeler (founder of Charles Tyrwhitt) in some startups back in 2012 when he invested in entrepreneurial students who started startups.
In 2016 I raised two investment funds from a successful Malaysian entrepreneur who wanted to invest in great UK startups. The funds were fully deployed in 2017, through exits in 2022 the funds have been returned and carry distributed, and some of the investments are still in play.
In 2018 I set-up mtrx syndicate. When I invest my own money into a startup I sometimes syndicate the opportunity.

Before all that, I worked in technology for RBS, The Bank of New York and others, studied Computer Science at Durham University and I have an MBA from Imperial College Business School.
Away from work live in rural Hertfordshire with my family, follow Formula 1 and run ultra marathons like The Wall in 2022 and I tackled the Marathon des Sables in 2023 — more on that here.
